What's Up With Me? Glad You Asked...

Hey You!!!

Don’t know if you noticed, but I took a bit of a working vacation from the world of true crime the past couple of months.

I didn’t ditch writing completely. Far from it. But instead of true crime, I’ve been writing quiet horror short stories.

It’s not such a far stretch. I mean, what is true crime if not horrific?

Still it’s fair for you to ask: just what is “quiet horror”?

Think of quiet horror like this: not every nightmare announces itself.

In the Quiet Horror series, each book is a collection of unsettling short stories set in ordinary places where something isn’t quite right—quiet towns, lonely highways, empty houses, late-night bus rides, and rooms where the lights should have stayed on.

These stories explore the thin edge between reality and the unknown. Strange disappearances. Unexplainable encounters. Small moments when the world shifts just enough to make you wonder what might be waiting just beyond the next corner.

The horror is subtle.

There are three books in the Quiet Horror series:

Hope you’ll like them. They’re all on Kindle Unlimited, so if you’re a member, they’re free reads! Let me know what you think.

I’m also planning to write a fourth book in the series, a novella called Blink.

Check out the cover. I love it!

Now, as for true crime… I’m BACK!

Let’s begin with three blog posts I’ve been working on this week: A Crime Hidden in Plain Sight, When an Online Obsession Turned Deadly, and She Really Hated My Book!

Okay, the last one is about me and one of my readers. But since it’s about ME, ME, ME, it’s probably my favorite.

That isn’t all I’m doing in the world of true crime. This month I’m working on a new Shocking True Crime Story. I know you’ll love it! More on that next week… perhaps…

Until then,

Stay curious. Stay cautious. And never stop reading.

Rod
