It’s 11:13 in the morning.
March 9th
2025.
Green Oak Township, Michigan police get a phone call. The person on the other end of the line says there might be someone dead in one of the homes in the Woodland Ridge mobile home park.
Green Oak is near South Lyon, Michigan.
Huh? You might ask. What's a "South Lyon"?
Okay. No need to google. I will tell you. South Lyon is between Ann Arbor, Michigan and Detroit. Both consider South Lyon a suburb.
Well.
Anyway.
The Green Oak cops show up at this mobile home on Shady Brook Court, and they do indeed find a dead body.
In the bedroom.
In the bed.
On top of a woman.
She’s okay.
But, like I said, the man on top of her is dead.
Turns out the two had been living together for quite some time, and they had a son. He’s okay.
But Daddy is dead.
How’d he pass?
That is still under investigation.
But this much was obvious.
Somebody bashed him in the head several times with the ubiquitous “blunt object,” and he’d been stabbed as well.
That will kill a guy, won’t it?
So.
The case is still under investigation, as the cops like to say.
Oh.
One
More
Thing.
The woman has been arrested.
That’s all I know now, Shocking True Crime friends.
When I find out more,
You’ll be the first to know.
Here’s something else:
I want to thank Erik Rivenes, the host of the Most Notorious podcast, for interviewing me last week about my book, “Murder! Molly And The Mob: A (1950’s) Shocking True Crime Story.”
Here’s a link to the podcast. I think you’ll enjoy it.
Since we have "Murder! Molly And The Mob" on our minds....
