Another Great True Crime Movie: Alpha Dog
Have you seen Alpha Dog yet? Chances are you have. It's been out for 13 or 14 years, but I just caught it last night on Netflix.
What a movie! It's the true crime story of a low-level drug dealer and his stupid friends (ALERT: Bad guys are not bright!) and their plan to kidnap the younger brother of a guy who owes them $1200.
This movie has it all: great story, superb acting, and a fantastic script. And, it does more than just tell the story of the bad guys and their dumb plan. It also shows the impact of the crime on an innocent family.
Lots of great action, and you will get caught up in the emotion of the movie. So watching this isn't going to be a cakewalk. But when the credits roll at the end, you'll know you've seen a good movie. Good investment of two hours, if nothing else.
Hope you're staying well, safe, and reading a lot of great books.
Here's my latest book. Not a true crime story, even though it was inspired by a scam some Russian mobsters pulled off in the USA.
Private investigator Ron Delaney’s prized Corvette has been smashed by a speeding blonde, he’s fallen in love with a woman half his age and now the Russian mob’s after him.
Empty Minute: A Murder Mystery is a hard-boiled crime-action thriller about a private investigator and his promise to uncover the truth — no matter how much it hurts.
As always, Empty Minute is available wherever you buy books.
