Sex Therapist, Ex-Playboy Model Murdered, Ex-boyfriend Busted

The LAPD received a 911 call from a woman who said her roommate's ex-boyfriend had busted into their apartment.

That call, along with the sound of a woman screaming, led LAPD cruisers to the two-thousand-block of Mound Street in Hollywood Hills, early Sunday morning.

There, they discovered the body of Dr. Aime Harwick (pictured above) lying on the ground below her apartment's third-floor balcony.

Unresponsive, injured from the fall, the ex-Playboy model who'd become a famous sex therapist would die.

The LA Medical Examiner's Office said, Tuesday, Feb. 18, the cause of death was blunt force trauma to Aime's head and torso.

This beautiful woman was beaten to death, then it seems, tossed off a third-floor balcony.

She'd recently published the book, "The New Sex Bible for Woman" and was engaged to Drew Carey, the host of the TV show, "The Price is Right" in 2018. They'd split up. But that break was called "amicable."

However, Harwick had recently broken up with her latest boyfriend, and that had not gone well.

Harwick had won a restraining order against ex-boyfriend Gareth Pursehouse. However, it had expired. LAPD investigators were told at the crime scene that Harwick was still afraid of Pursehouse.

Inside the apartment, LAPD homicide detectives found what cops call "possible evidence of a struggle" and signs that the roomie was correct. Somebody had forced their way in, bashing down the front door.

LAPD cops found Pursehouse three hours later, at his place. He's been charged with murder.

Ironically, Harwick, in a Facebook post, had recently recommended the book, "Stay Sexy and Don't Get Murdered."
