Murder or Mistake In The Back Seat, Tragic End To Teen's Life
Michael T. Gaffney, 21, and a nineteen-year-old friend, Francis Victoria Garcia, slipped out of a party in Hackensack, New Jersey, to have sex in the backseat of a car.
Less than half-an-hour later, Francis (pictured above) was dead.
Michael told his friends that they were having sex. At some point, he put his hands around Francis' neck. Before Michael knew what was happening, he says Francis' lips were purple, and he could feel air coming out of her nose.
Murder or mistake? Michael claims the latter, telling a friend that Francis wanted to be choked during sex.
The medical examiner says Michael was drunk with a blood-alcohol content of .256. In New Jersey, You're considered to be too drunk to drive if your blood-alcohol content is 0.08. So you can see, Michael was plastered.
It'll probably be a long time before he gets another glass of booze that isn't made in a jail cell still. Michael faces a charge of reckless manslaughter now. He had not entered a plea when this blog post was published.
